Part-Time Support Worker

PART-TIME SUPPORT WORKERS are required to enable people with a developmental disability to discuss, plan and achieve their life dreams and to live full lives in the community.

As a Mentor – you will work with people to understand their goals and dreams and build on personal strengths, gifts and talents to encourage community connections.

As an Educator – you will teach people about the resources and opportunities available in the community.

As a Support Worker – you will develop social and technical life skills that support a person’s independence and long term goals.

WDDS is a non-profit, charitable, organization which believes in internal advancement and providing personal growth opportunities for its employees including, but not limited to, participation in specialized teams and specialized training.

Qualifications
Preference will be given to those with a DSW, however, candidates with post secondary education, including CSW, CYW, etc, will be considered. In addition the following are required: 

  • Valid Ontario G or G2 driver's licence
  • Valid CPR Emergency First Aid Certificate
  • Current Police Check including Vulnerable Screening and Driving Check
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate support requirements

The salary range is $17.37 to $18.73/hour (Orientation rate: $13.69/ hour).
The scheduled hours of work vary and include days, afternoons, nights, weekends and public holidays. Please submit your resume and cover letter to:
